The Ankole-Watusi and Texas Longhorn herds at the Grande Horn Ranch in Yukon are a site to be seen. The ranch has been slowly adding to the herds since 2021, trying to find some of the biggest horns possible. While the Ankole-Watusi cattle can be somewhat aggressive (especially when they have newborn calves), the Texas Longhorn is a pretty laid-back group. There is a Watusi bull and steer at the ranch (Pinky and Hank) that you can give head scratches to (briefly anyway), but the rest of the herd wants no part of it. The Texas Longhorns on the other hand will let you scratch them all day long, as long as you are bribing them with plenty of treats. These animals are spectacular to sit and watch, with their massive horns and beautiful colors.
